Shakira’s “Dai Dai” crossed 100 million views this week. The Colombian superstar hit Instagram to give all the credit to her fanbase.

She delivered a bilingual thank-you straight to her global audience. “We just reached 100 million views with Dai Dai, thank you pack, you are the best! Gracias mi manada linda, esto lo hemos hecho juntos,” she wrote. That second line translates to “my beautiful herd, we did this together.” She skipped the label speak and talked directly to her people. That caption is personal and it lands.

The post cleared over a million likes. That number is worth flagging. Milestone celebration posts usually pull lower engagement than new drops or big announcements. A thank-you post cracking seven figures? That’s a different kind of energy. Her audience is locked in.

Shakira has been calling her fanbase the “pack” or “manada” for years. It’s her whole thing. Her listeners stretch across Latin America, the US, and Europe. That dual-language shoutout is deliberate. English for the global audience. Spanish for the core. She covered everybody.

The word “juntos” at the end of the caption is key. It means “together” in Spanish. She didn’t say she reached 100 million. She said “we” reached it. That framing is intentional. She talks to her pack like family. It keeps paying off.

Shakira came up in Barranquilla, Colombia and built herself into one of the most recognizable artists on the planet. “Whenever Wherever” broke her internationally in the early 2000s. “Hips Don’t Lie” made her inescapable.

The “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” World Cup anthem in 2010 gave her one of the biggest global stages in sports history. Through all of it, she’s operated on both sides of the English-Spanish divide. The bilingual thank-you for “Dai Dai” fits right into that pattern.

Her 2020 Super Bowl halftime show alongside Jennifer Lopez was a big reminder. Her presence stays massive on any stage. The 2023 collaboration with producer Bizarrap went viral across multiple continents and brought her to an entirely new generation of listeners.

“Dai Dai” hitting nine figures is another notch in an already stacked catalog. Over a million likes on a milestone post tells its own story. She wrote a thank-you and her community showed up anyway.

She credited her community. Used “juntos” to close the caption. Let the pack take the W alongside her.

That’s the move.
