Katie Thurston’s doctors have found “no evidence of disease” in her liver.

Katie Thurston is battling stage 4 cancer
The Bachelorette star was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in February 2025 and discovered the following month that it had spread to her liver, but her latest round of tests showed she has had a “great response” to treatment.
Sharing an update on her Boobie Broadcast channel, Katie wrote: “Liver update: no evidence of disease!!
“PET scan will be at the end of the month… I don’t really know what to expect. I don’t believe there were clear margins with my DMX and only two lymph nodes were removed. But also, what they did remove, it showed great response to treatment.
“So I can only hope that whatever is possibly left hanging around is stable or shrinking.”
The 35-year-old star may have no cancer in her liver, but doctors still need to monitor elevated enzyme levels, and her upcoming PET scan will also give her more information about the status of her breast cancer after she underwent a double mastectomy earlier this year.
Katie previously explained she had decided to undergo the double mastectomy in April, even though it was unclear if it would provide any survival benefits because she wanted to “increase [her] chances of staying alive.
She told People magazine: “I want to do everything I can to increase my chances.
“I refuse to call it a terminal illness. No one is promised tomorrow. Why waste the days I’ve been given stressing about death?”
Ahead of the surgery, the reality TV star – who is married to Jeff Arcuri – admitted that while she tries to stay positive, some days she can’t help but be reminded that she’s going through “the hardest chapter of [her] life.”
Reflecting on an emotional moment in her doctor’s surgery, she wrote: “My cancer candle burns brightly but I crumble on the floor hyperventilating and sobbing. The same way I did when I first got the call it was cancer. Sometimes I’m fine and sometimes I’m just like…damn… I can’t wait to be done with the surgery.
“I don’t like these little reminders. But at stage 4, they will always whisper in the background, some days louder with their grasp squeezing my neck.
“I pick myself up, and the pieces of my broken heart, and keep pushing on. I am losing pieces of my body and my spirit. Thankful for my friends, my family, my community, my Jeff. My [dog] Charlie. You. Thank you for being here during the hardest chapter of my life.”
