By the end of summer, I find myself leaning into the warmest shades I own, the ones a sunset leaves behind, because they feel like they capture how far into the season we have gotten. Red is always the place to begin. From there, orange and golden yellows sit close enough to give the whole thing its glow. Then a trace of lime or chartreuse, just enough to keep it unexpected. It is a late-summer palette I come back to every year, saturated and spirited, with the charge of pieces that have been moving through these months with me.
