At the premiere for The Devil Wears Prada 2, Laufey said that she sometimes gets mistaken for other half-Asian celebrities so she thought it would be funny to put a bunch of them together in her video, but she also wanted to make the music video she would have wanted to see when she was a kid with people who looked like her.
When asked how she got Hudson to be in the video, she shares that she sent him a DM asking if he wanted to be in a music video where she slapped him with a fish and he immediately said yes. She would love to do a cameo on Heated Rivalry. She ice skated (badly) as a kid and she can still skate. She wanted to include more Wasians in her music video but it was dependent upon other people’s schedules.
Her favorite act at Coachella was Karol G. Laufey wasn’t familiar with her music beforehand but she’s been listening to it since then. She loved that Karol G’s performance was thoughtful and had a beautiful message.

Just two days after the music video for Madwoman premiered, Lisa Rinna showed up at the premiere for Running Point wearing the same suit that Hudson wore in the video.
