Updating a story first posted here on Saturday, My Chemical Romance have bolstered their 2026 touring plans following the announcement that they will perform at three major U.S. festivals next year promoted by Danny Wimmer Presents, including Welcome to Rockville in Daytona Beach, Fl., Sonic Temple in Columbus, Oh., and Louder Than Life in Louisville, Ky.
Beyond previously confirmed shows South America, Asia and the United Kingdom next year, the Gerard Way-led band will reprise complete performances of their beloved 2006 genre classic The Black Parade in Europe and the U.S., starting June 30 in Liverpool, England. U.S. action begins Aug. 9 at New York’s Citi Field, with those shows featuring such opening acts as Franz Ferdinand, Pierce the Veil, Modest mouse, Iggy Pop, the Breeders, Babymetal, Jimmy Eat World and the Mars Volta.
The 2026 festival news was conveyed via the main stage video screens at Louder Than Life on Friday, which was followed by a performance of My Chemical Romance’s “Welcome to the Black Parade” by the Louisville Cardinal Marching Band. Welcome to Rockville will take place May 7-10, with Sonic Temple set for the weekend after and Louder Than Life going down on Sept. 18.
My Chemical Romance’s 2025 roadwork concluded Saturday at Atlanta’s Shaky Knees festival, with 450,000 tickets sold for the band’s 10 stadium headline gigs. In June, Way and company reissued their 2004 sophomore effort, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge as a remixed and remastered deluxe edition on CD, digital and multiple vinyl variants.
