Trisha Paytas SLAMS Intense Online Scrutiny About Ariana Grande’s Body After Singer Announces Break From Public Eye!

Trisha Paytas is not here for all the comments about Ariana Grande‘s body.

As you likely know by now, the pop star announced over the weekend that she will be stepping away from the public eye for a bit due to “endless, ongoing scrutiny” after her Eternal Sunshine Tour ends on September 1 — which means she’ll no longer star in the West End production of Sunday in the Park with George next year.

Well, a lot of the chatter on social media over the years has been about her health and body. It got so bad that she had to post a video to TikTok in 2023 begging fans to stop “commenting on people’s bodies.” However, it didn’t work. The noise has only gotten louder, especially amid her tour and the release of her new album Petal.

Now, Trisha is stepping up to issue the same reminder for everyone three years later!

The 38-year-old influencer said in a video on TikTok on Sunday:

“I do feel the internet is getting so comfortable talking about bodies, but specifically women’s bodies. Fat people or even larger or even like midsize-to-larger people have always been getting the body-shaming, nothing new. But I suppose with the rise of GLP-1s and overall everyone getting very thin, the shockingly thin is becoming more evident. When you have any sort of body dysmorphia, disordered eating, eating disorder, etcetera, comparing bodies — body checking — is going to become more intense with the rise of more people becoming thin and getting that unattainable but now attainable thin body.”

Trisha made it clear she is not only talking about Ariana, but the singer is facing a lot of commentary about her looks due to her appearance in the Petal music video:

“So many people have talked about her new Petal video where you see her collarbones, her chest bones. Is it alarming? Is it shocking? Yes. I don’t know necessarily if we need to be commenting on it as much as we are.”

The social media personality then noted “it’s clear” when people appear “extremely thin,” adding:

“It’s clear to everyone and the people around them. It can be really hard to admit there’s a problem to yourself, to the public, to your fans. I assure you, if that person has a problem, they’re aware.”

And while fans may think they’re helping by expressing concern about someone’s body, it really is, as Trisha pointed out, unhelpful in reality:

“People who were always thin who then get thinner and thinner and thinner … they’re aware even if they have body dysmorphia. Like, they’re fully aware ’cause it’s all their mind thinks about. I just don’t think [commenting on people’s bodies] helps either way. It doesn’t help them want to get help, it doesn’t help them want to stop the problem. So many times when people say, ‘Oh, you look sick,’ or ‘We see your bones’ … it’s almost like encouraging, enabling that issue, if that makes sense.”

Ultimately, the content creator wants people to quit all the talk about Ariana or anyone else’s appearance:

“So I just think this commenting on bodies just overall needs to stop if they’re not talking about it. If people are not acknowledging weight loss, transformation surgeries, GLP-1s, whatever, then it’s not really up for grabs to comment on, in my opinion. ‘Cause I just think it helps no one.”

Well said. Hopefully, some fans will think twice about people discussing someone’s body online next time.
