The investigation into Hulk Hogan’s death is over.
As you know, the former professional wrestler, whose real name is Terry Bollea, died in July 2025 after collapsing at his home in Florida. He was 71 years old. An autopsy later revealed Hulk died of acute myocardial infarction, and that he had a history of atrial fibrillation and leukemia CLL. However, Hulk’s daughter Brooke Hogan questioned his death, calling it “weird.” She even thought he may have died of medical malpractice. According to a statement from the Clearwater Police Department in Florida on Friday, authorities found zero evidence of any criminal wrongdoing. CPD explained the autopsy determined Hulk died, “exclusively from compelling natural disease, with no reasonable traumatic or terminal toxicologic contributions” and “as such, the manner of death is also natural.” The police department continued:
“Following an exhaustive review of the statements, medical records, surveillance footage from within the residence, and a visual inspection of Mr. Bollea’s body, there has been no evidence to indicate the death of Terry Bollea was anything other than natural. Through the course of the investigation, there has been no evidence to indicate any criminal wrongdoing related to his death. This case will be closed, and will be considered solved, non-criminal.”
The report also included police bodycam footage of officers’ interview with occupational therapist Justin McCamey, who had been at the scene at the time of Hulk’s death. He bluntly told police that the athlete “is in rough shape,” adding:
“We knew this was gonna be happening.”
