Did Jelly Roll‘s faith impact his marriage to Bunnie Xo?!
The musician has undergone a lot of changes since marrying Bunnie — from his rise to fame to his major weight loss journey. But he’s also really leaned into Christianity, which insiders believe has posed a problem in the relationship.
According to insiders for DailyMail.com on Tuesday, the more Jelly distances himself from his substance use past and legal trouble, the more issues have arisen in his marriage. You see, when they first met, Bunnie made a living as a sex worker. While she no longer does that, she hosts a podcast called Dumb Blonde that often features NSFW conversations. And so what? Why judge that?

Unfortunately, a source dished:
“There is just such a conflict in what’s going on. He’s preaching this Christian way of life. She’s posing mostly naked and talking about porn and penises on her podcast. At every turn, she’s just kind of embarrassing him and wrecking every PR narrative that they’re trying to create. This is the talk of the town [in Nashville].”
Suggesting Jelly’s in it for the money, another confidant pointed out:
“There’s so much money in [Christian music], but [his renewed faith] is just an act in my opinion.”
Dang! The insider added:
“He saw a lot of money in this market and told Bunnie to get it together.”
Unfortunately, they just couldn’t get on the same page! The source went on:
“But she wouldn’t stay in line and it is destroying his brand. She just wants to be what she is. She’s been an escort and in porn and gets her validation and audience from being in a G-string. That’s been her life but now, suddenly, he’s a preacher and she’s a preacher’s wife.”
Jeez. That would be a tough change to suddenly face!
There have been other issues weighing on the relationship, too. Another insider claimed they also didn’t see eye to eye on expanding their family! The couple’s been open about undergoing IVF and even looking for a surrogate, but they have not welcomed a child together. An insider explained:
“Both [she and Jelly Roll] wanted more children, but disagreements over timing and his increasingly demanding career have created ongoing tension. Ultimately, he felt it wasn’t wise to move forward with having more kids when the stability of their relationship remained uncertain, and they seemed destined to keep repeating the same cycle. Their relationship has always been passionate but turbulent, with frequent almost-breakups followed by intense reconciliations.”
Oof. After so many years trying, coming to that decision couldn’t have been easy.
All that said, another source told the outlet that before the divorce was made public, nobody suspected there were any issues! They explained:
“You couldn’t tell he was going through something. If the divorce was on his mind, you’d never have known.”
As for what’s next, the source concluded:
“You reach a day where you realize maybe I didn’t love this person. I loved the chase and the ability to hustle and grind together. But now everything has slowed down and they’ve had time to really see it.”
Sad to see things end like this! And you know what? If all this is true, we wish them both well, but we DEFINITELY wish Bunnie Xo a happy future because she deserves a man who will be proud of her in every season of life!
