Bookended by the Miami skyline and the waters of the Biscayne Bay, Ultra Music Festival Miami is a vibe unlike any other. Its seven stages are mindfully bento-boxed within Bayfront Park’s topography, allowing for relatively short walks between sets while also avoiding sound bleed. Ultra just locked in another twenty years with the City of Miami, which also means that the Winter Music Conference – the longest running electronic music conference of its kind – can continue to build its programming and community as a vital lead-up to Ultra.
This year’s Winter Music Conference included industry and creators programming tracks, rooftop pool parties, its inaugural Bridges for Music x International Dance Music Awards (IDMA) and much more. Panels led by the likes of Armin van Buuren, Alison Wonderland, Laidback Luke, Sara Landry; an A&R Pop-Up Lounge with Label Radar; Beatport Live’s 3-day pool party series; and an array of educational programming are what make WMC so vital.
“As electronic music’s most influential industry gathering, Winter Music Conference curates programming that brings together the world’s leading artists, executives, creators, and innovators to explore the future of global dance culture.”
Whether you’ll be on the rail at your favorite Ultra headliner, locking into the wisdom of Armin Van Buren, or hiding out poolside at The Gale, we can all look forward to many more years of Ultra Music Festival Miami and the WMC. Special thanks to Ultra Music Festival and @vivicphotostudio for the Ultra and WMC photos respectively.
