‘Sister Wives’ Kody Brown & Robyn Reach A ‘Deal’ About New Wife

Following the end of his union with Meri Brown, Christine Brown Woolley, and Janelle Brown between 2021 and 2022, Kody has been living monogamously with Robyn.

Now, however, he appears to be weighing a return to his polygamist lifestyle, though not without Robyn’s approval.

In the new season, Kody raised the idea of returning to polygamy during a dinner date with Robyn, noting that a relative had recently asked if they were still practicing plural marriage.

Robyn admitted she wasn’t sure how to answer, saying that if it were still truly part of her, she would already be living it. Kody reminded her she had once turned down suitors who didn’t want plural marriage and asked how she would have reacted if he’d pursued her as a monogamist.

“I would have said the same thing to you,” Robyn replied, according to People Magazine.

She added that she would only consider another wife if the woman truly wanted a relationship with both of them and was committed to making it work.

The patriarch agreed with her, adding, “I think you and I share something very special. But if it’s not duplicatable, it could put us at risk… There’s something wonderful here. Why would we put that at risk?” 

The reality TV star ultimately admitted he was “done” with polygamy and asked if monogamy worked for Robyn. She agreed, and he ended the conversation with, “OK, it’s a deal,” sealing it with a kiss.

Kody revealed that his interest in bringing another woman into his home largely came down to physical attraction. As previously reported by The Blast, the “Special Forces” star admitted that sexual desire was his main motivation for pursuing a new relationship at this stage in his life.

Robyn quickly called him out, labeling it “the very worst reason” to seek another lady. When Kody tried to defend himself by saying he’d also want to “connect” with someone different, Robyn pushed back, pointing out that he didn’t realize how shallow he sounded.

 In her confessional, she went even further, telling cameras that Kody was “just kind of being a bit of a pig right now.”

The idea of adding another wife, and Robyn’s unease about it, isn’t entirely surprising, as The Blast reported that Kody had already teased it in the season trailer

In the preview, he jokingly told his sole partner, “I got another one of those emails from some woman asking sort of like to get to know us for the purpose of joining the family.”

However, a close-up of Robyn’s expression made it clear she wasn’t exactly thrilled about the idea of another wife joining their union.

Robyn wasn’t the only one unsettled by Kody’s talk of an additional spouse. His ex-wife, Christine, admitted she couldn’t understand why he would even consider such things.

According to The Blast, the mother of six appeared on an episode of “The Sarah Fraser Show,” where she criticized her former husband for entertaining the idea. “I do not even know how to wrap my mind around what I have seen that they are even entertaining,” she said, adding that she hoped it was just for the cameras.

Christine emphasized that she genuinely hoped Kody wouldn’t bring another wife into the picture, since she believes he and Robyn already share a true “soulmate situation.”

She stated that introducing a new affair would be unfair and contradictory to Kody’s own declarations of wanting monogamy, especially given how often Robyn is described as his soulmate.

Kody has remained steadfast in defending his love for Robyn, especially when faced with backlash from his former partners. 

Per The Blast, he previously urged his exes to move on and stop criticizing their relationship, describing his bond with Robyn as having a “divine aspect.”

Addressing the criticisms he received, Kody declared, “I love this woman, and I want peace in this relationship, but I’m to the point where I’m walking around flipping two birds ’cause I am so sick and tired of being guilted for loving Robyn.”
