Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are each other’s lights at the end of the tunnel!
As we’ve been following, the pop star and the former Canadian Prime Minister have been absolutely head over heels for one another since sparking romance rumors over the summer. Despite initially wanting to keep their romance under wraps, they’ve slowly but surely warmed up to attention — and even went social media official last weekend! Katy shared a string of loved-up selfies on Instagram and Justin shared a pic of the pair with former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife Yuko Kishida on X (Twitter). See (below):

For the most part, fan and friend chatter surrounding the new relationship has been very positive! Sure, they’re an unexpected duo, but that almost seems to be exciting fans more than anything! We’ve heard that Katy and Justin are “very happy” and that he thinks she’s “the perfect woman” — and now we’re hearing the pair are also very happy with the confidence boost they’re giving one another!

On Saturday, an insider spoke to Page Six about the lows both Katy and Justin were experiencing prior to striking up a relationship. On one hand, you had a pop star who released album 143, which flopped before it even dropped when fans found out she worked on it with Dr. Luke. And then in the spring, she sparked even more controversy while setting out on a voyage to outer space on the all-female Blue Origin space flight with Jeff Bezos’ wife Lauren Sánchez. And then in a final kick while she was down, her nine-year relationship with Orlando Bloom, whom she shares 5-year-old Daisy Dove with, crumbled.
On the other hand, you had a Prime Minister whose 18-year marriage ended and whose popularity with voters plummeted, leading to his resignation in January of this year. The source told Page Six:
“He felt inadequate.”
A music industry source added:
“When you are a big star or a politician, that gives you a variable. People either love you or hate you. The Blue Origin trip backfired for her from a PR and branding standpoint … [It] also put her in the political realm with Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez.That really complicates things.”
However, since dating, the pair have seemed to turn a lot of the negativity surrounding their careers around! And according to another source, it’s been a major ego boost for Justin! But don’t get it confused… they’re NOT just in it for the clicks! The relationship these two are building is apparently as genuine as it gets! An insider told The Post:
“This is definitely real with them. They dig each other. They’re cognizant about not going overboard. It’s not fake. Justin Trudeau — like him or don’t like him — Canadians are wonderful people. It’s for real. In today’s market having two people that have their feet in a political mess, it really complicates relationships. They’re sensitive.”
