Brodie Stringer, Bronwyn’s first husband, just aired out their short-lived marriage — and he didn’t hold back. The two grew up together in California, married in 2009, and divorced just a year later, a chapter of her life Bronwyn has conveniently kept off RHOSLC.
“That’s just how she’s always been. You know, and good for her. She got what she wanted, and she’s halfway there, I guess,” Brodie told The U.S. Sun, hinting that Bronwyn’s quest for fame is nothing new. He went further, calling her “always this kind of social climber” and accusing her of using a “fake persona” to impress people. “It’s the Wizard of Oz behind the screen,” he added, implying Bronwyn’s on-screen glam persona is nothing like the woman he once knew.
Brodie didn’t stop there.
He said that even from the clips he’s seen, she comes across as cold and strategic. “She just seems, maybe, a little more calculated in how she’s manipulating people,” he claimed, adding that Bronwyn seems to thrive on drama rather than genuine happiness.
Fans have already seen her clash with Lisa Barlow, who has called Bronwyn out for lying and being obsessed with status — and Brodie’s comments will only fuel speculation that the “real Bronwyn” is even messier than the one on Bravo.
Still, Brodie made it clear he doesn’t have bad blood. “I wish nothing but the best for her,” he said, but then warned, “If I were Todd, I would stay far away from that show.” Bronwyn hasn’t responded to Brodie’s claims yet, but she previously addressed their past on Instagram after old wedding photos resurfaced, reminding fans Brodie is not her daughter Gwen’s father.
