Murder Mindfully Season 2 arrives on Netflix next month
Netflix’s German crime-comedy, Murder Mindfully Season 2, will begin streaming on the platform from Thursday, May 28, 2026. Although a trailer has yet to be released, the streamer offered a first glimpse of the upcoming installment in a press release.
The series is an adaptation of Karsten Dusse’s 2019 novel of the same name, titled “Achtsam Morden” in German. Meanwhile, Konstantin von Carlowitz adapted the book for Netflix, with Dusse, Doron Wisotzky, Anneke Janssen, and Michael Kenda serving as the writers.
Murder Mindfully centers on Björn Diemel, who represents two mafia gangs at a law firm, not as a typical lawyer, but as a fixer. Due to a lack of work-life balance, his wife suggests that he attend mindfulness therapy sessions. Unexpectedly, the sessions give him a new perspective and help reduce stress.
But things go south quickly when the mob bosses try to interfere in his personal life. In response, Björn kills one of them and imprisons the other in the basement of a kindergarten. Despite this, he remains calm as he navigates the criminal world while keeping the gangs unaware of their bosses’ fate.
The cast features Tom Schilling as Björn, Emily Cox as Katharina, Peter Jordan as Joschka, Pamuk Pilavci as Emily, Marc Hosemann as Toni, and Amer El-Erwadi as Murat, among others.
Like the first season, Murder Mindfully Season 2 will comprise 8 episodes. Moreover, ahead of the season premiere, Netflix renewed the show for a third season. This decision follows the overwhelming critical acclaim.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the series has a perfect 100% critic score and boasts an impressive 89% user rating. Furthermore, the show won the Best Comedy Series award at the 2025 German Television Awards.
