There’s some big plans for Bullseye in Daredevil: Born Again! Wilson Bethel teases a transformation for his return in season 2 of the beloved series.

While there were some rocky elements to the first season of Daredevil: Born Again, absolutely none of that can be laid at the feet of Wilson Bethel. Despite having a smaller presence due to only being added during reshoots, fans absolutely adored the direction they went with the villain. Suffice to say, fans are sufficiently hype to see Bullseye return to the small screen in season 2.

And it seems that excitement isn’t lost in Wilson Bethel. The actor recently sat down with Collider to discuss his return as Bullseye in the MCU. Bethel believed that his days as the beloved Pointdexter were over, calling his chance to reprise the role a “dream come true”. And that excitement to continue playing the character in Daredevil: Born Again seemed to bleed over into the production of season 2.

“No,” Bethel remarked when asked if he ever thought he’d return as the character “And especially not with a show that meant so much to me. In theory, you could get that call about a show that you never really cared that much about in the first place.”

“As it happened, getting that call and getting the opportunity to return to that show and return to that character, who I just absolutely adore playing, and I think it’s so much fun to play, it’s just been one of the great surprising gifts of my entire career.”

“We just finished shooting the second season. I get to do so much fun, insane stuff in this new season. I’m so excited for fans to see it. I hope that we have several, if not many more, years of wonderful story in store for Bullseye and for the whole Daredevil crew. It’s such a great, lovely group of people on that show, in front of and behind the camera. I just feel honored to be part of it.”

How Bullseye Changes In Season 2

It also seems as though season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again won’t be more of the same. While the freshman outing of the series served as a reintroduction to Wilson Bethel as Bullseye, the upcoming season seems to be pulling out all the stops for his return. Bethel obviously couldn’t say much, but the darker side of Bullseye from the comics may soon be on its way to Disney Plus.

“The Dex of Season 2 is a new Dex that we haven’t really seen yet. I’m very excited for people to see it, and I’m curious to see how they weigh in on it. There are some elements of him in this season, some sides of his personality, that we haven’t seen yet, and I’m thrilled for people to get to see it.”

The one complaint fans have seemed to have with Wilson Bethel’s performance as Bullseye is that he’s yet to fully transform into the bloodthirsty psychopath fans love in the comics. His return in Daredevil: Born Again season 2 could mark a turning point in the character, becoming much more openly indulgent in his violence than simply sociopathic.

Daredevil: Born Again is now streaming on Disney Plus, with season 2 set to release in March 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
