The popular soap opera has paused new episodes from Monday, September 1, to Friday, September 5, 2025. CBS opted to air reruns to honor the annual US Labor Day, which falls on the first Monday of September. The network officially announced that the show would not return with originals for the entire week.
Fans can rest assured that the series will be back with brand-new episodes on Monday, September 8, 2025. The storyline will continue with Chelsea’s dramatic rescue. Spoilers suggest Kat and Jacob’s rescue attempts may not go according to plan, while Allison continues to threaten Chelsea.
This isn’t the first time Beyond the Gates has postponed new episodes for a holiday or special occasion. The show went on a brief hiatus on July 4, airing reruns of Bill and Hayley’s wedding, which allowed longtime fans and newer viewers alike to revisit the highly celebrated storyline.
CBS confirmed that it will air reruns this week focusing on Nicole and Ted’s anniversary arc, which first aired in May 2025 but was briefly interrupted by live UEFA Champions League coverage. The network will rebroadcast Episodes 45 through 49 in sequence, giving fans who originally missed the shocking reveal of Ted’s secret relationship with Eva a valuable chance to fully catch up.
