During the Friday episode, Boykin explained that as “a kid from Dallas, Texas” who grew up in “a traditional household” where family always came together, he initially perceived Russell Wilson’s catered Thanksgiving with no family present as unusual. He admitted he should have provided more context for his remark and acknowledged that the Wilson household never asked for their private life to be discussed publicly. Boykin also apologized specifically to Ciara’s son, Future, stressing that he shared a moment from “10 years ago” and that they “didn’t deserve” to have personal details aired.
He continued by saying that he’s still new to podcasting, with the show having fewer than 10 episodes, and that mistakes are part of the learning curve.
