Tina Knowles Addresses Whether Beyoncé Is Releasing A Rock Album

Tina Knowles has been on a massive press tour for her New York Times Best-Selling memoir, “Matriarch,” and she’s been spilling a little bit of tea about her superstar daughter, Beyoncé.

During a new interview, the mother of two opened up about how Beyoncé enjoys getting “lit,” and touched on whether the “Cowboy Carter” singer has a rock album in the works for 2026.

Speaking with Andy Cohen on his radio show, “Andy Cohen Live,” Tina opened up about how her daughter, who’s currently touring her award-winning album, “Cowboy Carter,” likes to get “lit,” and the answer likely won’t come as a surprise.

“I think lit for her is being with her kids,” Tina told the “Real Housewives” executive producer. “I mean, it sounds like a cliche, but it’s just the honest to God truth.”

Beyoncé shares three kids, Blue Ivy, 13, and twins, Rumi and Sir Carter, 7, with rap legend Jay-Z.

She continued: “They dance obviously. And they party. And her and her husband. And she has a real tight, close-knit circle of people.”

According to Tina, when the Knowles-Carter family gets together, they “wild out.”

And their drink of choice? “SirDavis, of course,” Tina said, referring to Beyoncé’s whiskey company, which launched in September 2024.

Later, during Tina’s conversation with Cohen, the latter touched on the rumors that suggest Beyoncé plans to release a rock album as the final part of her three-act project, which, so far, includes “RENAISSANCE” and “COWBOY CARTER.”

“I have no idea,” she said, to which Cohen replied, “I feel like you do, but that’s cool.”

Currently, Beyoncé is on an impressive trek across the United States and parts of Europe, putting on a showstopping, three-hour-long performance of her “Cowboy Carter” tour.

The production features over-the-top gimmicks, including flying cars, flying horseshoes, moving robot arms, pyrotechnics, and more.

Beyoncé, who first announced the tour after a dominating performance during an NFL Christmas Day game in 2024, opened up about how important the album is to her during this year’s Grammys, where she won awards for “Best Country Album” and “Album of the Year.”

“I think genre [sometimes] is a code-word to keep us in our place as artists,” she said. “And I just want to encourage everyone to do what they’re passionate about.”

During a backstage interview with Kevin Frazier from Entertainment Tonight, the 35-time Grammy winner said she was “honored” to be recognized by the academy before pointing to the other talented Black country artists who came before her.

On tour, Beyoncé pulls all the stops to keep her fans entertained and the tickets selling, including performing next to her daughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi.

Blue (who has performed next to her mother in the “RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR” and her Netflix special titled “Beyoncé Bowl”) has another leading role in this concert, performing solo dance routines during “AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM” and “Deja Vú.”

Rumi, however, has arguably been the Carter truly taking over social media this time around, thanks to her moving segment during “PROTECTOR,” a song all about a mother’s love.

“You know my granddaughter Rumi told me, I said, ‘How do you feel when you wave and everybody screams,” Tina revealed during a previous interview. “She said, ‘It feels powerful.’ I was like, ‘Oh. I see what you mean.'”

Tina also discussed another viral moment, in which she seemingly disciplined Rumi on stage during Beyoncé’s May 1 performance, when the singer brought her mother in front of the crowd to celebrate her book becoming a best-seller.

“It was real, it was real life,” Tina said. “Grandmas don’t play.”

She added: “No, it really wasn’t that. It was just that she was reaching for the mic because she wanted to say something, and I realized that. But she was pulling, and I was like ‘Oh God, that’s all that needs to happen is that the mic hits her in the face, and they say ‘Oh, Beyoncé hit her in the face.'”
