Emo and pop-punk veterans the Starting Line have mostly kept busy in recent years by playing the classics across various reunion tours, save for the three-song Anyways EP in 2016, but now they’re set to release their first new album in 18 years. It’s titled Eternal Youth, and it comes out on Sept. 26 via the band’s own Lineage Records.
“May this record serve as our most PURE form of expression yet,” the band said upon its announce. About self-releasing it, they add, “If you are reading this, you likely have some background on our career-long saga in and out of labels, and the significance of our now independent ownership. It’s a confident victory in longevity and loyalty, as well as our finest sonic moments to date. It means the world to still be here to tell the tale.”

The recently released lead single “Sense of Humor” sounded like a culmination of everything that the Starting Line did across their very different first three albums, combined with the wisdom of a band who’s clearly grown and matured in the years since their initial run. New single “Circulate” is a song that the band told Rolling Stone was “written at the zero hour while finishing pre-production in the recording studio,” and it’s a quick, two-and-a-half-minute banger that scratches that same itch. Check out the videos for both below, alongside the newly revealed tracklist.
The Starting Line also have an upcoming tour, with support varying by date from Real Friends, Knuckle Puck, Finch, Oso Oso, Macseal, Stateside, Superworld, and Keep. Find all dates on the tour poster below, and grab tickets here.
