The Palm Heights Packing Edit

When packing for Palm Heights, I always start with pieces that feel expressive and fun to wear. It’s the kind of destination where getting dressed is part of the experience where color, shape, and texture naturally take the lead. I gravitate toward statement silhouettes and saturated hues.

For this trip, that meant anchoring looks around printed silk separates, fluid dresses, and swim that reads as part of the outfit rather than something worn only to the water. A Pucci silk skirt that slips on over a swimsuit for lunch, wide-leg linen-blend pants that carry through the afternoon, a roomy beach bag that goes everywhere, and jewelry that adds contrast and texture as the day shifts into night.

Instead of packing for every possible scenario, I work from a loose framework — a way of editing that keeps the suitcase versatile, playful, and ready for how the days actually unfold.

The Palm Heights Packing Formula

Swimwear:One-pieces and bikinis in color or contrast designed to layer with skirts, pants, and shirts.

Dresses:Dresses with print, color, or texture that hold their own at night and take well to accessories — styled with statement jewelry, heels, or a bag that shifts the look.

Day Separates: Silk skirts, wide-leg pants, and beach shirts designed for mixing — worn over swim, paired together, and finished with accessories throughout the day.

Light Layers:Dusters, kaftans, or maxi tops that add shape and flow, transitioning easily from day to evening with jewelry and shoes.

Shoes:Flip-flops for beach to lunch, and a color-forward heel designed for long evenings.

Accessories:Bags and jewelry meant to be layered, stacked, and swapped — pieces that bring color, contrast, and personality to every combination.

It’s about building a suitcase that feels easy and inviting — filled with pieces you’ll reach for again and again, ready for long days, warm nights, and whatever the trip unfolds into.

If you want to see how everything came together once we arrived, I shared a quick “unpack with me” video from Palm Heights in my Substack. In it I walk through the bags, shoes and clothing I actually brought—

my rainbow sequin Chanel bag (so fun for a beach vacation)

the little Prada mini wicker bag that works with everything

my new Chanel 25 raffia travel bag

and the swimsuits I never skip on a warm‑weather trip.
