Live Blackjack comes in different table formats at regulated online casinos. Two you’ll see most often are standard live Blackjack and Infinite Blackjack. Both follow the same core rules but differ in how many players can join a table and how cards are dealt.

If you’re considering playing at a Blackjack online casino, understanding these differences can help you choose the format that suits your preferred pace and table style.

Standard live Blackjack

Standard live Blackjack runs on a seven-seat table, mirroring the setup found in many land-based casinos. Up to seven players can join at once. Once all seats fill up, you’ll need to wait for a spot unless the platform offers a “Bet Behind” feature.

Each player receives their own hand from a live dealer. You’ll make decisions like Hit, Stand, Double, or Split based on your cards and the dealer’s upcard. Because everyone’s hand is unique, the dealer works through each position one at a time. This creates a traditional table structure where the game’s flow depends on all seated players’ actions.

Standard tables often include side bets like Perfect Pairs or 21+3. Betting limits vary depending on the provider, so you’ll find different minimum and maximum stakes across tables.

Infinite Blackjack

Infinite Blackjack accommodates an unlimited number of players at one table. Rather than each player getting a unique hand, everyone’s initially dealt the same two cards. From there, you make your own decisions independently through the game interface.

Although everyone starts with identical cards, your choices determine how your round plays out. One player might Hit while another Stands. The system then deals additional cards individually, so each hand can develop differently based on decisions made. This works through a combination of live dealing and digital handling of extra cards.

The dealer plays their hand as normal, following fixed rules. Outcomes are calculated individually based on each player’s final hand compared to the dealer’s.

This format removes the waiting time you’d experience with standard tables. During peak hours, you won’t need to hunt for an empty seat – there’s always room at an Infinite table.

Choosing between the two

Your choice between standard and Infinite Blackjack comes down to personal preference. If you want a format that mirrors a traditional seven-seat table with individual hands from the start, standard live Blackjack delivers that structure. You’ll experience the classic rhythm of watching each player’s turn unfold.

If you’re more focused on quick access without waiting, Infinite Blackjack offers continuous play that’s always available. You won’t be locked out during busy periods, and you can start playing immediately.

Both formats come from licensed suppliers and stream from regulated studios. They follow the same core rules, including fixed dealer actions, standard card values, and optional side bets depending on the version.

Set a budget before you play and only stake what you can afford to lose. Avoid chasing losses and take regular breaks to manage your time. If you feel that gaming is becoming difficult to control, seek support from recognised help organisations.
