The Daily Show is getting a new host!
One of the show’s correspondents will be getting a shot at anchoring the Comedy Central late night show on Tuesday (July 22) through Thursday (July 24): Josh Johnson.
This will mark the 35-year-old comedian’s first time hosting the show, while Jon Stewart will host as usual on Monday nights.
The Tuesday-Thursday host rotation also includes a href=” title=”Ronny Chieng”>Ronny Chieng, Jordan Klepper, Michael Kosta, and Desi Lydic.

Jon continues to host one show per week (typically on Mondays) along with a Thursday podcast called The Weekly Show, with members of the news team hosting the remaining three installments of the week.
The scheduled guests for Josh‘s shows are Great Black Hope author Rob Franklin (Tuesday), singer Samara Cyn (Wednesday) and Happy Gilmore 2 actor Christopher McDonald (Thursday).
He has been a Daily Show correspondent for about a year and a half, but joined the show’s writing staff in 2017 after working at the Tonight Show.
He is also a stand-up comedian with two specials to his name: 2021’s #(Hashtag), which premiered on Comedy Central, and 2023’s Up Here Killing Myself for Peacock.
