Is Jeremy Allen White finally joining the MCU? The latest rumor from the mill teases that Marvel has a specific role in mind for the beloved actor.
Jeremy Allen White is an odd duck in the current landscape of Hollywood. The actor has rocketed to superstardom in the world of prestige TV with projects like The Bear and Shameless, with his jumps to film mostly focusing on dramas like The Iron Claw. Which is why it’s so weird that the actor is so prevalent in discussions about what actors should join the MCU and DC Universe.
And it seems as though Marvel is at least slightly keyed in to the demand for Jeremy Allen White to join the MCU. The latest rumor from insider DanielRPK reveals that the studio is eyeing White for an upcoming project. While it’s not clear what role he would play, his popularity likely means that the studio wants him as a leading role in the upcoming Mutant Saga.
Who is Jeremy Allen White Playing In The MCU?
Even if this rumor is true and Marvel wants Jeremy Allen White for a role, there’s no guarantee that he would accept. Famously the star got into a tiff with some sort of superhero franchise over a role he was offered, being told “f-ck you” after questioning why he should be in the movie. Though given how close White is with Disney, playing Rotta the Huttlet in The Mandalorian & Grogu, a role in the MCU is more likely than any other franchise.
As for what role he could play, there’s no shortage of options. Some suspect that he could take on the role of Cyclops in the MCU. However, given Jeremy Allen White’s history of playing abrasive underdogs, it’s more likely that Marvel would get him to play Wolverine than anyone else. Though if this rumor is true, it’s likely the truth will come out soon as a new role gets cast.
