Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl will take over a 90% drop in sales during its second week according to Hits Daily Double. The album opened with an impressive 4 million copies, but will do 345K during its second week. That’s still a respectable and solid number, however coming from an artist that just opened with a historic opening week in the US…
For comparison, Adele’s 25 sold over a million copies during its second week in the US. The Tortured Poets Department opened with 2.61 million and did 439k during its second week, a 93% drop.
25 remains the biggest opening week for any album in UWC history, with 5.7 million copies sold worldwide.
