They know the villain, they know the new additions, and they even know the comic that the film is based on. However, they didn’t expect a new member to be announced for the cast so late into the game.
Deadline recent confirmed that Diarmaid Murtagh is set to join the DC Universe as a villain in Supergirl. Now, even though this announcement has come very late into the film’s post-production timeline, that doesn’t mean Murtagh was just added. Rather, it’s likely that he already filmed his scenes during principal photography on the picture.
Who Is Diarmaid Murtagh Playing In Supergirl?
As confirmed in the report, Diarmaid Murtagh is officially set to play Drom Baxton in the DC Universe. The character is a secondary villain in the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic, serving as the right hand man to Krem of the Yellow Hills, who is set to be the primary antagonist of the upcoming film.
Diarmaid Murtagh is no stranger to wars, having been a member of the cast of Outlander and Vikings. Him playing a villain in Supergirl is his most recent outing on the silver screen, having appeared in projects such as Uncharted, William Tell, and Against The Ice prior to joining the DC Universe flick.
