RANE and Serato have just confirmed that Serato DJ Pro is now officially supported on the RANE System One.
Sadly, this isn’t standalone Serato built into the unit, and you still need a laptop running Serato DJ Pro. Instead, what’s changed is how Serato now sits inside the System One’s OmniSource workflow. Plug your laptop into the USB-C computer port, open Serato DJ Pro, and it appears directly in the Source menu.
Serato DJ Pro 4.0.3 is available now, and you’ll need Engine DJ 4.6 on the System One for it to work. The System One hardware unlocks Serato DJ Pro automatically when connected.
OmniSource
The big change is that Serato now behaves like another selectable source. Because of that, you can run Serato on one deck and USB or streaming on the other. Each deck can pull from a different source, and you can switch between them without any issues. That means Serato sits alongside USB, SD, internal drive and streaming sources, all within the same system.

Touchscreen Control
Serato integration doesn’t just mean that the System One works like a standard controller. Instead, they’ve really done this properly and designed all the features to be controllable via the big central touchscreen.
That means you can browse crates, sort by BPM or key, swipe to load tracks, zoom waveforms, and adjust key sync directly from the System One, without having to go back and forth on your laptop. You can also change waveform orientation, so Serato tracks line up visually with standalone and streaming tracks.
Playlist Banks offer three dedicated buttons for instant access to local media, streaming services and Serato DJ Pro playlists, keeping everything within reach from the hardware.
Pads & Effects
When you load up a Serato track onto one of the decks, the pads automatically switch over to Serato control. That lets you control the Stems, Pitch Play, Scratch Bank and Combo Pad modes,
The System One’s internal effects (Main, Touch, Fader and Sweep) also all work on Serato tracks, including BPM sync. You can also access Serato’s software FX from the Control Centre and even combine both at once.
