On May 15th, I officially stepped into a new decade — 40! It still feels surreal saying that number out loud, but more than anything, it feels empowering. I spent the actual day soaking in quiet gratitude, reflecting on how far I’ve come, how much I’ve grown, and the beautiful journey still unfolding ahead. This is my Reflections at 40: A Milestone Birthday Surrounded by Love.
Then came May 17th — the day of my birthday party — and wow, what a celebration it was! My heart is still so full. I was surrounded by love from every corner: family flew in from Canada and the UK, friends traveled from different states across the U.S., and together, we created memories I will cherish forever. To add to milestone celebration, I took a trip to Phuket, Thailand which was AMAZING!
A Milestone Worth CelebratingTurning 40 is such a personal and powerful milestone. It’s the age where you begin to truly embrace who you are — not just who the world wants you to be. It’s a space of confidence, of clarity, of calm. For me, it is a reminder that grace and growth can coexist, and that beauty radiates most when you are aligned with your purpose. For me, I couldn’t be more aligned with my purpose and what I want from life.
This past year brought its share of challenges and transformation — especially navigating health changes, evolving motherhood, and building toward something new with my brand. But I’ve never felt more grounded. More in my skin. More myself. I have found peace in everything that surrounds me. I am forever filled with gratitude. Nothing beats being surround my family and people who truly love and want the best for me. Life is beautiful and I thank God for this journey to horizon.
The Party: A Red Carpet Moment at HomeFor the celebration, I wanted something unforgettable — glamorous yet intimate. The dress code? “Vanity Fair meets Cannes Red Carpet.” My guests did not disappoint. From velvet tuxedos to floor-length gowns, everyone brought their A-game and of course, I wore a custome black dress and later changed into this Helsa purple dress which I also wore the beige version for my birthday shoot (catch that on my Instagram). Our home was transformed into a dreamy, elegant space full of laughter, champagne toasts, dancing, delicious food, and heartfelt moments.
