Rajel Nelson and Boosie celebrated a meaningful family moment last Sunday as they dedicated their daughter, Sevyn, to the Lord.
The couple shared photos from the dedication on Instagram, with Nelson reflecting on the significance of the day.
“Last Sunday we dedicated our baby Sevyn to God,” she wrote. “With grateful hearts, we commit to raising her in His Word, love, and truth. Forever covered. Forever guided. Proverbs 22:6.”
Nelson and Boosie welcomed Sevyn in April 2025. The baby recently celebrated her first Christmas, with Boosie sharing holiday photos and a message about his daughter’s joyful spirit.

In a recent interview withThe Progress Report, Nelson opened up about how motherhood has reshaped her life and why she now feels ready to share more of her personal journey.
“Becoming a mom has been the biggest transformation of all,” she said. “I’m enjoying the experience. I’m enjoying the change. I love being able to evolve.”
Nelson also explained the meaning behind her daughter’s name. “I always [liked] a unisex name, but I love like how seven is biblical, you know. God rested on the seventh Sabbath day. And I just feel like the number seven has a lot of meaning to it. If you know, you know.”
She added that one of the biggest surprises of motherhood has been her daughter’s calm personality. “The biggest surprise has been for me is how um chill my daughter is,” Nelson said. “Like she’s literally chill.”
Rajel continued, “She just blows my mind cuz in my head, I’m like, you know, kids are supposed to be loud, crying, fussy. Like my daughter literally just the most sweetest calm thing. I’m just so blessed and I’m so happy.”
