Keith Urban is unlikely to be seen at major Hollywood events following his split from Nicole Kidman.
The couple, who separated last year, often attended high-profile events together, including the Oscars in 2022 and 2023.
Now, reports say Nicole Kidman was the reason Keith Urban regularly received invites to such events, and following their divorce, he has reportedly been frozen out.

Over the weekend, Nicole Kidman attended the Oscars alone, nearly seven months after her split from Keith Urban.
That same weekend, Urban was performing several miles away, and even if he hadn’t been occupied with work, it’s believed he still wouldn’t have been able to join the star-studded event.
“Keith used to be everywhere with Nicole,” one insider said of the singer, who attended previous editions of the event in 2022 and 2023. “Now he’s nowhere.”
According to a source who spoke with Rob Shuter’s #ShutterScoop, the singer has been frozen out of major Hollywood events, with the reason tied to his split from Kidman.
“He was always her plus-one,” the source revealed. “He wasn’t getting those invites on his own.”
“That access came with the relationship,” the insider further remarked. “And now it’s gone.”
The Former Couple Is Moving On Differently
At the Oscars after-party, Kidman looked radiant and happy, wearing a beaded gold Chanel gown that turned heads on the red carpet.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, Kidman’s ex-husband appeared melancholy as he performed for the crowd, even telling the audience, “We’re here to friggin’ forget about our lives outside of this arena.”
The contrast in their appearances has seemingly further fueled the narrative that the former couple is moving on differently since their divorce, particularly with regard to their next relationship.
“Keith has been drawn to younger women now that he’s single, and at least in the beginning, when they first split, he was going out a lot more and enjoying the lifestyle. He didn’t take the split well,” a source said about Urban, per the Daily Mail.
“Nicole isn’t necessarily focused on finding a man or dating. It wouldn’t be surprising to see her with someone not famous, though,” they added.

At the time of their split, Urban and Kidman agreed to co-parent their daughters and even drew up a parenting plan that was key to their divorce agreement.
In typical situations, implementing such a plan would require Urban and Kidman to remain in communication, but the singer reportedly shied away from this responsibility in the wake of the divorce.
“Nicole and Keith don’t really communicate,” a source told the Daily Mail. “Things got really bad at the end of their relationship and haven’t rebounded.”
They added, “Keith seems to really want to live the single life, almost like a midlife crisis since the split. He’s turned into a totally different person. It’s like she doesn’t know him at all anymore.”

The tense relationship between Urban and Kidman became even more apparent when their daughter, Sunday Rose, mentioned only her mother in an Elle Australia feature for shaping her creative influences and work ethic.
Her comments immediately sparked speculation about whether Kidman may have influenced her, and, by extension, their other daughter, Faith, against Urban.
However, sources who spoke with the outlet dismissed these claims as untrue.
“Nicole hasn’t turned the kids on him; they’ve made their own choices about their dad,” an insider remarked. “She isn’t like that. Keith hasn’t tried much to make things better in their eyes.”

In the meantime, Urban is said not to be blaming Kidman for the distance between him and his daughters, and he is fully aware that they are upset with him.
The situation has also left the singer worried and hurt, but he is determined to do his best to remain present in his children’s lives.
“He’s hurt, but he feels like he can patch things up,” the source continued. “He knows he has a lot of work to do to repair things with them. But he’s determined to do it.”
