Okay, it’s official, I am mentally switching gears to fall. It finally feels like the time! When it comes to my closet I tend to be a bit of a hoarder. I hold onto and rewear quite a few pieces, and when a new season rolls around, typically I am looking to buy the following: new trends that I love, items I may be missing in my closet, and replacements for the items that are truly falling apart. With that being said, today I am delivering my big, big fall wishlist.
CATEGORIES TO CONSIDER
BLACK RIDING BOOTS // I am pretty well covered when it comes to boots, but while looking through my closet this weekend I realized I would really love to add a pair of black riding boots. My top picks are these, these, and these. I feel like any of them would look fab back to this equestrian blazer, a turtleneck, and a pair of skinny jeans.
SATIN EVERYTHING // Satin is trending in a big way and I am here for it. It appears I have so many satin items on my wishlist that it is nearly impossible to keep track of them all. My current favorites are this high neck top, this top with fringe, and this chic maxi.
VELVET PLATFORMS // Sandal platforms are a staple for me in fall. The perfect transitional shoe that looks great with a sock or pair of tights. While I have pairs of satin platforms and suede platforms that I love, this season I am looking for the perfect velvet pair. Tippy top of the list are these, these, and these.
TAILORED PANTS // Menswear pieces for fall are always timeless. This year the trend seems to lean to menswear, but with an equestrian twist. I am looking for a great pair of tailored pants in a rich, fall fabrication. I just ordered these and these.
COAT WITH SCARF // Okay, I need another coat like I need a hole in my head, but they have always been the most favorite pieces I own. I can’t get enough of outerwear. The silhouette I am eyeing this season are all the beautiful, oversized coats with attached (or detachable) matching scarves. I love this cape version, this budget friendly one, this long mustard style, and this beautiful baby blue!
LEATHER OR LEATHER-LIKE GLOVES // All of my leather gloves have seen better days. I think that gloves are such a fun and easy way to add some interest an outfit or even as a pop of color. Currently I am eyeing these that are on sale, these, and these!
A SUEDE JACKET // I love finding a perfect third piece. Suede feels like a fresh take on a tailored blazer or jacket and I have this one on my list. If you like the idea of a suede jacket but are looking for more of a barn coat style, well I love this piece. But, if you are more of a girly girl, how darling is this peter pan collar swing jacket?!
