Lana Del Rey’s Husband ‘Has Limits’ With ‘Over-Choreographed’ PDA

Lana Del Rey and her alligator tour guide husband, Jeremy Dufrene, flaunted some major pda as they attended a fashion show in Paris over the weekend.

However, their individual body language told a slightly different story about how willing they are to engage in public kissing and touching, especially at packed events.

Lana Del Rey has previously opened up about their relationship, saying she “realized pretty immediately” that she loved him when they met, but was initially quite skeptical because of what she “was bringing to the table.”

Del Rey and her husband, Dufrene, turned the heat up while making their debut at the Valentino Spring 2026 show in Paris on Sunday.

The couple, who tied the knot in a Bayou ceremony in Allemands back in September 2024, couldn’t keep their hands to themselves as they were spotted kissing and cuddling at the event.

Despite their lovey-dovey appearance, their body language suggests a different story about how much they’re comfortable publicly showing affection.

According to the Daily Mail, body language expert Judi James observed that the outdoorsman didn’t seem very comfortable at the event, unlike the “Summertime Sadness” singer, who has been in the entertainment industry for years.

“Jeremy doesn’t look like your average show-pony A-lister’s husband, but that’s probably why he and Lana make such a cute-looking couple,” James told the news outlet. “She even yells out to the fans: ‘Isn’t my husband so cute?’ showing him off with a very self-satisfied smile.”

Del Rey first met the Louisiana airboat captain in 2019 when she took one of his famous swamp excursions. They later reconnected and got married after keeping their relationship a secret for months.

The couple faced some negative reactions when they first went public with their romance; however, the body language expert, James, noted that the singer now “looks completely happy” as they made their debut at a Paris Fashion Week show, noting that even though the situation was quite different from Dufrene’s more comfortable Bayou setting, he looked “pretty happy too.”

Del Rey seems to be so smitten with Dufrene, as James explained that her body language suggested pride and affection throughout the fashion event.

“Lana is so busy showing him off, even trying to pull his jacket close for the red carpet photos (and failing when it doesn’t meet but still looking happy enough about it),” the expert said of Del Rey.

“Her rituals are mainly about suggesting proud ownership and a flirty attraction to her husband, from the way her hand is placed on top in the clasp as they walk together to her flirty close-up gaze as they stand together primed for the traditional kiss for the cameras,” she added.

According to the body language expert, it seems Dufrene is not willing to go all the way when it comes to Hollywood activities, although he didn’t shy away from showing just how affectionate he is towards his wife, Del Rey.

“Far from looking reticent, Jeremy throws some enthusiasm into his kiss, with a rather convincing, full-on locking of lips, although the way he keeps his hands stuffed into his pockets suggests he has his limits in terms of anything uncool and over-choreographed looking,” she added.

Even though he might prefer a more laid-back approach, he still managed to show plenty of warmth to his wife, as James pointed out that his stroking of her back and placing it on her bum is a “subtle, natural-looking gesture of physical attraction.”

In a previous interview with W Magazine, Del Rey opened up about their relationship dynamics.

She revealed that she has learned to adjust to being around reptiles and also accept his wild, outdoor lifestyle.

“I was nervous at first, but Louisiana has nicer alligators than Florida,” she joked.

“Jeremy swims with the alligators! I swim in the bayou also, and the alligators are there, but I don’t swim alone,” the singer added.

Del Rey admitted that the initial phase of their marriage wasn’t a smooth ride, as they faced massive backlash and even had drones hovering over their homes to take photos of their early days as newlyweds.

“If I was him, I would have been nervous—my emotions were more overwhelming than usual, and my usual emotions can be quite overwhelming!” she said. “But Jeremy was fine. He told me, ‘Don’t worry about me.'”

Del Rey also gushed about Dufrene, telling the news outlet that he “has a calm, strong presence,” and that she realized almost immediately that she loved him, but acknowledged that it wouldn’t be a smooth ride “because of what I was bringing to the table.”
