Lana Del Rey is continuing to tease new music from an album she first announced back in November 2024, this time hinting that a single, “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter,” is being released on Feb. 17.
On her Instagram Story, Del Rey said it was her “favorite song” on the album and “the one I’ve been waiting for.” It was co-produced with Jack Antonoff and Drew Erickson, who “finally found that magical chord that was missing.” Co-writers include Del Rey’s husband Jeremy Dufrene and her sister Caroline “Chuck” Grant. “There’s just so many bits and phrases thrown in by other people.”
Apparently a video for “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter” was made in-house but isn’t ready yet since it “takes hours and hours of editing and downloading and uploading and all that,” she said.
Del Rey did not reveal a release date or refer by name to the album, which was initially called Lasso, then The Right Person Will Stay and most recently Stove, but said, “I know, you’re asking about the record. But honestly, soon. Because vinyl takes three months, so three months plus two weeks. It could be give or take a bit less than that.”
The first tune to emerge was the six-minute, string-flecked ballad “Henry, come on,” which when Del Rey premiered it in April 2025 was said to be “the song that the album hinges on. Another new song, “Bluebird,” came out a week later.
