La La Anthony has been tapped to host the very first TikTok Awards in the U.S., set to take place at the Hollywood Palladium on December 18.
The fan-voted award show has fourteen categories that recognize creators on the social media app. Categories include Storyteller of the Year, My Show is On award, and TikTok Live Creator of the Year.
TikTok also confirmed the first wave of presenters, including Paris Hilton, who will present the Creator of the Year award. Former Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel is set to present the Storyteller of the Year award, and Josh Richards will present the TikTok for Good Award.
Other presenters include Micky Gordon with the Rising Star of the Year award, Jordan Chiles with the MVP of the Year (Sports) award, Jools Lebron with the Muse of the Year Presenter (Public Figure) award, and Trixie Mattel with the My Show is On (TV/Film) award.
The TikTok Awards celebrate the videos that stopped us in our scrolls, the communities that inspired global phenomena, and the innovators redefining what it means to create. “New Era, New Icons,” is the theme of the year, which recognizes the innovators whose impact reaches far beyond the For You Feed. From fashion and beauty to sports, entertainment, learning, and daily life, the Awards spotlight the videos that stopped us in our scrolls and the communities that continue to inspire global moments.
The TikTok Awards ceremony will be presented in front of a live audience of hundreds of creators, complete with a red carpet livestream welcoming arrivals fresh from their GRWMs at 5 PM PT. The show will begin LIVE on @TikTok at 6 PM PT, and on Tubi. The ceremony will also be available on demand the next day on Tubi.
