KRK has announced the Kreate Series, a new line of entry-level studio monitors that adds Bluetooth connectivity to the company’s traditional monitor formula.
The Kreate Series features basic two-way active monitors available in 3″, 5″ and 8″ sizes. The new feature is Bluetooth streaming capability alongside the usual unbalanced analogue inputs – making them more convenient for general listening when you’re not actively mixing.
The monitors feature composite woven glass fibre cone woofers and silk-blend textile dome tweeters with neodymium motors, extending frequency response up to 33 kHz. There are basic boundary correction controls and tuning EQ options to help with room acoustics, plus Class D/Class AB hybrid amplification.
Good choice for DJs?
For budget-conscious home DJs and producers, the Kreate Series looks like a straightforward addition to KRK’s existing entry-level lineup. The Bluetooth connectivity means you can easily stream music from your phone or tablet for casual listening, then switch to wired connection for serious mixing work.
KRK monitors have long dominated the budget end of the market thanks to their relatively affordable pricing and familiar sound signature. The Kreate Series looks likely to continue this tradition, though of course there’s nothing particularly groundbreaking here beyond the Bluetooth addition.

The boundary correction and tuning EQ controls could be useful for DJs working in less-than-ideal home studio environments, though these are fairly standard features at this price point.
The monitors come in KRK’s traditional black and yellow colour scheme, with a new “latte/black” option available. Additional white/yellow and scarlet/black variants will follow through select dealers.
Pricing and availability
KRK describes their new Kreate Series as “high-quality audio at an affordable price point”. The Kreate 3 models will be sold in pairs for $179, while the Kreate 5 and 8 options are priced individually ($169 and $229, respectively).
The monitors are available through select dealers and KRK’s website, with additional colour options coming in the following months.
Finally…
We’ll reserve judgment on sound quality until we can get our hands on a pair for proper testing, but for bedroom DJs who want monitors that can double as everyday speakers, the Bluetooth feature makes them more versatile for general use. Watch this space for more!
