Knocked Loose have steadily been bringing hardcore to the masses, whether through Coachella circle pits or heavy late-night debuts on Kimmel. “Hive Mind,” their first song since 2024’s You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To, continues that endeavor by tapping Denzel Curry. The Carol City-bred rapper, currently on tour with Deftones, possesses a raw, eclectic discography that makes him well matched, as seen through the metal, hardcore, and rock that he’s channeled in his own songs, as well as covers of Rage Against The Machine’s “Bulls On Parade” and Bad Brains’ “I Against I.”
“Hive Mind” comes with a video directed by Eric Richter and vocalist Bryan Garris, filmed in the band’s hometown of Louisville, Kentucky at the revered skate joint David Armstrong Extreme Park. In the explosive visual, they come together to pay homage to punk, skateboarding, and the gritty subcultures that have shaped their upbringings — enlivened by shots of electrifying moshes and home tattoos.

Of “Hive Mind,” Garris says, “This is something we’ve talked about doing for a long time. We wondered if we could pull it off and who would be down. In the very beginning, we said for it to work, it would have to be Denzel Curry. Because he gets it.”
Later this year, Knocked Loose will support Metallica on select dates in the summer. Bookending those performances, they’ll appear at both dates of Sick New World in Las Vegas and Dallas. See the full tour routing and video for “Hive Mind” below.
