Renner has unceremoniously learned what comes across the dog way-the side-eye gesture ever since the dogs are left alone at home and the man goes on with his television’ duties’. With an Instagram story captioned that basically read-‘Hershey and Roxy gave me the cold shoulder and side eye as soon as I got back home from @jimmyfallon @fallontonight’-, he returned from the show. Then again, netizens’ remarks surpass even the comments of that post.

So basically, Renner posted a picture of his dogs, who looked absolutely irritated that he would dare leave them. The caption read, “Hershey and Roxy gave me the cold shoulder and side eye as soon as I got back home from @jimmyfallon @fallontonight,” and it was priceless. Hershey looks like he is judging every life choice Renner has made; meanwhile, Roxy has ridiculous drawn-on eyebrows which just make her look perpetually shocked.
The comments section was on fire for this one. One user, @renner_j_fan_support_renner_f, commented: “Aww poor Hersey 😂🤣 Roxie I’m loving the eyebrows 😂🤣❤️❤️”. Honestly, true. The eyebrows are a whole mood. A user named @dj.skwishee chimed in with the best advice: ‘They’ll forgive you once you give them treats and cuddles. It works with my cats every time 🥰🥰.’ That is right, bribery is a universal language for pets.
The best of all were the different theories with respect to that reason or that one or several reasons on why these dogs were actually mad. @ms_natalielewis dropped this bomb: ‘Lol Hershey saw that you @jeremyrenner had some strange dog on your lap at Jimmy Fallon show😂.’ Oh to actually think that. Like Hershey actually watched the show, saw Renner petting some other dog, and was like “How dare you!?” The sheer audacity!
Then there was @patlouisamay, who honestly couldn’t even: ‘@jeremyrenner the eyebrows are just too much. I can’t 🤣🤣🤣.’ Same. Those eyebrows declare for themselves an Instagram account.
Shoutout to @lucacavalierking, who could completely relate: ‘I can relate to this. Our dog knows when we are about to leave🤦🏻♀️.’ Some dogs really have a sixth sense about when their owners will be leaving them for five minutes. Scientifically proven.
So the moral of the story here is, dogs are dramatic; Jeremy Renner has iconic pets; there is no escaping the doom doggie glare. P.S: The fastest way to a dog’s heart is through its stomach.

Just for the icing on the cake, that could definitely be the most relatable celebrity post this year. Because after all, we all know what it’s like to be on the receiving end of that side-eye from our pets. And quite frankly? we probably deserved it, too.
