Jennifer Garner‘s kids want their mom to hold off on the plastic surgery — specifically one super in-demand procedure!
In a new episode of Not Gonna Lie, the actress chatted with Kylie Kelce about being a mom. She, of course, shares three kids — Samuel, 13, Fin, 17, and Violet, 20 — with her ex Ben Affleck. And in her acting career, her iconic roles as a mom in films over the years has brought a lot of “perspective” into her own parenting.
She said on Thursday:
“I love the intimacy of that relationship, whether they’re a toddler and I get to become best buddies with a toddler, or whether it’s a little kid, a teenager or a young adult. I just — I love them. And they help give me perspective on myself as a parent.”
They sure do, don’t they? Kids teach us so much!
The 13 Going On 30 star revealed she’s always trying to learn more about how to be a better momma:
“I’m practicing that relationship, even practicing the friction of it, and [finding] ways that I can take that home and do a better job.”
Love that for her. She’s probably one of the best moms in Hollywood!

Something she’s learned from all her experience working with children is knowing when “you’re supposed to stay quiet.” LOL. So real. She explained:
“Because, really, your kids get to a point, and I hate to say this to you because you’re so far from this, and it’s really rude, but they get to a point where you’re not supposed to tell them everything. You’re supposed to stay quiet. I don’t know when that happens, but all of a sudden, it’s not on you, and you’re actually — you’re in trouble.”
Ha! Definitely something all parents experience at some point or another. But one thing her kids want to be informed about? Her decisions around cosmetic surgery!
Jen admitted she previously tried Botox injections, but they weren’t for her. Her three kiddos don’t want her anywhere near the knife, either:
“My kids are like, ‘Mom, promise us you’ll never get a facelift.’ And I say, ‘I am unlikely to rush toward a facelift’.”
Ooo, that’s a tough one! The latest advancements in the facelift game are all the rage right now. It’s how a lot of top stars are all of a sudden looking so youthful again! But, we must note, the youth of one’s 20s or 30s is not the only age that’s beautiful! Beauty is life itself, and there is something uniquely gorgeous about a face that shows what you’ve lived through.
The Alias star is never saying never, though. She explained how she won’t make this promise to her kids, adding:
“I refuse to make that promise because I am me today, and I don’t know how I’m gonna feel.”
What you feel now always isn’t going to be what you feel in the future. And she doesn’t want to lie to her kids in case she changes her mind. Smart!
