Jax Taylor FIRED From The Valley After Fans Launch Petition and Threaten Boycott!
Jax Taylor is officially out at The Valley — and fans may have played a major role in his departure.
The 46-year-old Bravo star announced on July 16 that he won’t be returning for Season 3 of The Valley. While Jax described his exit as a personal decision focused on sobriety and mental health, multiple sources say the move comes amid rising pressure from viewers, including a viral online petition calling for his removal.
Throughout Season 2, Bravo fans watched the unraveling of Jax’s marriage to Brittany Cartwright, alongside allegations of verbal and emotional mistreatment. Tensions reached a boiling point online, prompting thousands of fans to demand Bravo cut ties with the former Vanderpump Rules personality.
A petition titled “Remove Jax Taylor From Television for Offensive Conduct” circulated across social media, quickly racking up thousands of digital signatures. Many fans accused Jax of “toxic behavior” and “narcissism.”
In a statement to Us Weekly, Jax addressed his departure without directly referencing the backlash.
“After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I’ll be stepping away from the next season of The Valley,” he said.
“Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and coparenting. Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself — especially for our son, Cruz.”
Jax shares 4-year-old Cruz with Brittany Cartwright, who filed for divorce in summer 2024 during filming. She cited “irreconcilable differences” and moved into a separate home earlier that year.
While executive producer Alex Baskin previously defended including Jax in Season 2, he hinted that cast changes were likely ahead of Season 3. “It’s very likely the show does look different next season, but I don’t know what different means,” Alex told Variety. “No one is guaranteed a job. Many times before, we’ve had to make a change based on someone’s behavior.”
Alex Baskin also said Bravo’s goal was to tell the full story, even the uncomfortable parts. “We don’t want to be in a situation where we are forcing together people who wouldn’t spend the time together in real life,” he explained. “That can become taxing and difficult to watch.”
Part 1 of The Valley reunion airs Tuesday, July 29 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo. No official casting has been announced for Season 3.
