Travis Kelce not only has a great teammate in Clyde Edwards-Helaire, but also a great friend.
According to a recent column in the Kansas City Star, the 26-year-old running back thinks very highly of Trav, as he told the outlet:
“[He’s] somebody who will genuinely look out for you to the end … Not as Travis Kelce your teammate, but as Travis, my big brother.”
This love extends to the tight end’s fiancée Taylor Swift, too. Clyde recalled how back in 2024 he did something so selfless after the horrifying Super Bowl parade shooting. In case you don’t remember, while the Kansas City Chiefs were celebrating their big win, a mass shooting happened at their hometown parade, in which one person was killed and 22 were injured.

At the time, Tay was on her Eras Tour in Australia, and was woken up by her team in the middle of the night and told the news. We can’t imagine how horrifying that was — but luckily Clyde thought fast, and when a “quite overserved” Trav handed him his cell phone, he quickly “comforted” the pop star. He assured her that her then-boyfriend was safe an uninjured. How kind…
Taylor even returned that kindness! When Clyde was due to wed his now-wife Jojo, the 36-year-old made sure his “big brother” Travis could attend, flying him back to the US after a brief stop in the UK that summer.
Clyde said of that moment:
“It was one of those things where she understood the relationship, she knows where everything stands.”
