Three exhibitions at zero cost across all buildings. Pascale Marthine Tayou: Knockout! fills seven Pina Luz galleries — the Cameroonian artist’s first institutional show in Brazil, spanning 25+ years. Macunaíma é Duwid at Pina Estação offers an indigenous reading of Mário de Andrade. Cristina Salgado: A mãe contempla o mar in the Octógono. All through August 2. Free entry all day.

Pina Luz: Praça da Luz 2. Pina Estação: Largo General Osório 66. Sat 10h–18h (entry until 17h). Free today. Metrô: Luz (Line 1-Blue / Line 4-Yellow).

MASP — Renoir + Histórias Latino-Americanas

Five exhibitions: Cinco ensaios sobre o MASP — Renoir, Sandra Gamarra Heshiki: réplica, La Chola Poblete: Pop andino, Claudia Alarcón & Silät: viver tecendo, and the permanent collection. All Latin American shows through August.

04Getting AroundTRANSPORT

No rodízio on weekends. Easter Saturday traffic is very light. Metrô operates on weekend schedules.

Luz circuit: Metrô Line 1-Blue or Line 4-Yellow to Luz for the Pinacoteca. Pina Luz and Pina Estação are across the Jardim da Luz from each other — five-minute walk. For the MASP, take Line 2-Green to Trianon-MASP. Both museums comfortably visited in one day.

05Where to EatFOOD

Luz: The Pinacoteca café for light meals. Walk to the Mercadão (~15 min) for the mortadela sandwich and pastel de bacalhau — the market is open on Easter Saturday.

Paulista: The MASP café, Japan House restaurant, R. Augusta and R. Haddock Lobo. Most Paulista-area restaurants are open on Saturday. Shopping centres (Iguatemi, JK Iguatemi) run normal Saturday hours.

Markets closed: B3 and banks remain closed for Easter weekend. Trading resumes Monday April 6. Any geopolitical developments over the weekend will be priced in at Monday’s opening.

Iran update: Trump reversed ceasefire hopes Wednesday night, promising to intensify operations. Brent surged to US$109. Separately, Iran and Omã are negotiating an Ormuz transit protocol, and 40 countries are discussing joint action to reopen the strait. Monday’s market opening could be volatile depending on weekend developments.
