Avengers: Doomsday is taking fans back to the past! The latest set video reveals that a key location from season 2 of Loki will appear in the film.
Heading into Avengers: Doomsday, there’s a lot of questions about what parts of the Multiverse Saga would actually be important for the upcoming film. Marvel has been infamous for leaving loose threads all over the place over the last five years. And despite projects like Loki season 2 and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania having clear ties to the overall story they were trying to build, last-minute rewrites have left fans wondering what direction the film will take.
The latest set video from Avengers: Doomsday does shed at least a little bit of light on these questions. The footage, posted by Chris Hemsworth’s stunt double, seems to confirm that at least some members of the cast will be visiting the Temporal Loom, a key location from Loki season 2. While it’s unclear what role this will play in the story, it’ll likely serve as a point of reunion between Loki and Thor.

What Is Loki’s Temporal Loom?
For those that don’t recall, or simply didn’t watch, season 2 of Loki, the Temporal Loom is a device constructed to regulate the flow of time. However, the device was ultimately destroyed by the Trickster God at the end of the series. This may make it seem odd that Avengers: Doomsday has seemingly rebuilt a now useless location. However, assuming Loki didn’t move in the interim period, it’s likely Tom Hiddleston’s anti-hero is still just outside that window holding time together himself.
It’s likely that the Temporal Loom room will serve as a home base for the cosmic team in Avengers: Doomsday, likely consisting of characters like Thor and Captain Marvel. It’s likely they’ll be defending Loki from attacks by Doctor Doom as, by the end of season 2, the God of Tricks is the only thing holding the Multiverse’s timelines together.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters in December 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
