Oh. My. God. You really cannot make this stuff up anymore!
In a moment that is already making the rounds for all the wrong reasons, Donald Trump managed to accidentally promote one of his favorite political punching bags while trying to tear him down. Yes, seriously.

While speaking from the Oval Office on Monday evening, Trump went on yet another rant about Gavin Newsom — and somehow ended up calling him the President of the United States.
Yikes!!
The whole thing started with Trump taking aim at Newsom’s intelligence, bringing up the California governor’s dyslexia in a way that immediately raised eyebrows. Trump said:
“I think a president should not have learning disabilities, OK?”
Okay… already uncomfortable territory. But then came the moment that had jaws hitting the floor. Trump added:
“The president of the United States, Gavin Newscum [which is Trump’s insulting and, frankly, silly nickname for Newsom] admitted that he has learning disabilities, dyslexia… everything about him is dumb.”
Wait… uh… did he just… crown Newsom commander-in-chief mid-insult? That’s not exactly the diss he thought it was! Instead of landing a blow, Trump basically handed Newsom a viral victory lap!
And of course, Newsom wasted zero time clapping back. Taking to X (Twitter), the California governor delivered a response dripping with sarcasm and just the right amount of shade:
“NO THANK YOU, WE BELIEVE IN FREE ELECTIONS!”
NO THANK YOU, WE BELIEVE IN FREE ELECTIONS! ????????

LOLz! Mic drop!
Political jabs are nothing new — especially from Trump, who has built an entire brand on nicknames and insults. But this kind of slip-up? It fuels growing chatter and concern about whether these verbal misfires are becoming… ya know… much more frequent.
Whether you see it as a simple gaffe or something more serious, one thing is crystal clear: the internet is eating this up.
