Algoriddim has released Djay Pro v5.4, bringing official support for Pioneer DJ’s flagship DDJ-FLX10 controller alongside a new “External Apps” feature that imports playlists, cue points, and loops from Rekordbox, Serato, and Traktor libraries.
The DDJ-FLX10 integration, developed with AlphaTheta, includes full support for the controller’s on-jog screens across Mac and Windows. The External Apps feature addresses a long-standing DJ challenge – switching software without losing years of library organisation.
Cross-platform library import?
External Apps reads playlist data, cue points, and loops from competing platforms’ libraries on Mac and Windows – suggesting Algoriddim has reverse-engineered these formats rather than requiring official cooperation. Also, as Algoriddim has the best beatgridding of any DJ software, they have no need to import grids from anyone!

Of course, cross-platform library migration has always been tricky, with different software handling cue points and file management differently. We’ll need to test how well this works in practice.
What else is new?
Djay Pro v5.4 also expands hot cue functionality to 16 slots (up from the previous 8) and introduces “cue loops” – the ability to save loops directly into hot cue slots rather than keeping them separate. Additional colour options for hot cues provide better visual organisation, while the traditional 8 saved loops remain available alongside the new system.
Android and Windows users get Light Mode (already on other platforms), while Google Pixel Fold support makes Djay the first DJ software optimised for foldable devices – though this feels more like future-proofing than addressing immediate demand.
First Thoughts
The DDJ-FLX10 support is genuinely significant. Pioneer DJ’s flagship controller deserves software that properly utilises its on-jog screens. The External Apps import could be game-changing for DJs locked into current software by years of library work.
Whether cross-platform import works smoothly enough for professional use remains to be seen. The expanded hot cues and interface improvements are welcome refinements rather than revolutionary changes.
Pricing and availability
Djay Pro v5.4 is available now as a free update for existing subscribers. New users can access Djay Pro at £6.49/month or £48.99/year.
This positions Djay as a serious competitor, particularly for DJs hesitant about switching due to library migration concerns. The DDJ-FLX10 support alone makes Djay compelling for Pioneer DJ controller users seeking Rekordbox alternatives. For more info, head over to Algoriddim’s website.
