Denise Richards must be sighing with relief right now! She just scored a win amid her divorce from Aaron Phypers!
According to Page Six on Friday, a Los Angeles judge denied the Creditors Adjustment Bureau‘s request to go after The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum’s “wages and other assets” to satisfy her estranged husband’s debt. And boy, does he have a lot of it!
In 2022, the debt collector sued Aaron over an unpaid loan. The judge granted a default judgment totaling $228,000 two years later. He has not paid it off yet, and that is on top of all the other bills he is behind on! While entering a plea for spousal support in December, the 53-year-old businessman claimed he owed a whopping $850,000 in total! DAMN!
Us Weekly reported Aaron needed to pay $180,000 to his landlord for back rent and repairs, $120,000 on back rent on his former office space, $230,000 for a loan provided by a man named Tom McMormack, and $250,000 to a company called High Velocity Admin. He also reportedly owed $50,000 to his lawyer, Michael Finely, and another $20,000 to a different law firm.

Jeez! The man is drowning in debt! So much so that the Creditors Adjustment Bureau asked the court in September 2025, after the judge’s decision, to seize Denise’s wages and other assets since she was Aaron’s wife!
The Wild Things actress already has to fork over a boatload of money to Aaron, her alleged abuser, in temporary spousal support following a ruling in February. At the time, Denise reportedly said she could not “afford” to give her ex money. In fact, she is so strapped for cash she “could barely pay for [her] attorney.” Oof! If that is true, then paying off the Quantum 360 founder’s debt to the Creditors Adjustment Bureau on top of everything else would be devastating to her!
Thankfully, the court sided with her this time! Per the court docs, the judge ruled on Wednesday that Denise is not financially responsible for Aaron’s debt that he accumulated “before or during” their six-year marriage. Plus, the reality star is not “subject” to her ex’s money problems since she didn’t “incur the debt” herself. But the motion got denied “without prejudice,” meaning the company can refile later.
Hopefully, however, this is the end of the issue for Denise! Let the man figure out his money problems that he created, not her! Reactions, Perezcious readers? Drop ’em in the comments (below)!
