Estimulo plus Piu equals Time Synthesis
Moto Music label head Dan Piu has teamed up with Berlin’s DJ Estimulo on a new collaborative project Time Synthesis.
The debut EP from the duo, ‘Remember The Future’, is set to drop imminently, with two joint originals, ‘Strobes’ and ‘Pools’ gracing the A-side, with each supplying their own mix of ‘Wayne’ on the flip.
Dan Piu told us: “The EP is a journey through our shared roots and love for deep house and raw techno groove aesthetics. Estimulo and I wanted to capture a timeless feel that speaks both to the dance floor and to those deep early 90s vibes that shaped us during our formative years. We didn’t overthink it..we just followed the vibe. Working with Estimulo in the studio and on this project was a truly inspiring experience for me.”
Estimulo, known for his weekly EstimuloShow, which has been broadcast since the summer of 2007, added: “I am very happy how organic the work on this EP went with Dan Piu in the way that we were always tuned onto the same vibe when working on something, no matter what it was. Probably also because we come from very similar backgrounds, musically, we would send back and forth our additions and changes to the tracks and it always felt like a natural flow. And after having dabbled in production for a long time, I’m over the moon that there is finally a testament of that work on wax.”
