The story surrounding missing Virginia high school football coach Travis Turner continues to take twists and turns.
Turner, 46, vanished way back on November 20 after reportedly walking into the Appalachian woods near his southwestern Virginia home reportedly armed with a gun. Then days later, as we’ve been reporting, the bombshell charges dropped: five counts of child pornography and five counts of using a computer to solicit a minor. And with that, the beloved head coach of Union High School‘s powerhouse football program suddenly became the target of a super unsettling manhunt.

Since then, authorities have combed through miles of rugged wilderness searching for the fugitive coach, but search crews admit they’re dealing with brutal terrain in the thick, dense forests of rural Virginia.
And the more time that passes, the more complicated the search becomes. Per the US Sun, some experts say that if Turner died in the wilderness, wildlife activity would make locating his remains painfully difficult. Meanwhile, other investigators think he may not be in the woods at all, and could have fled the United States entirely.
But perhaps the most intense developments are happening back at home. Turner’s family — his wife, Leslie, and their three children — has been enduring a loved one missing, a legal storm swirling, and now police repeatedly searching their properties.
According to the family’s attorney Adrian Collins who spoke to Us Weekly late last week, the Turners have allowed those law enforcement searches every single time. As Collins stated:
“Their homes and properties have been searched multiple times, with their consent.”
Plus, he added that the family is doing their part to try to help find Travis:
“[The family] continues to cooperate with law enforcement efforts to locate Travis.”
Still, even with full cooperation from the family, investigators say no major breakthroughs have emerged.
