One of the Big Five, Copenhagen Fashion Week Punched High above its Weight. From Ethereal Nymphs at Cecilie Bahnsen to Elegant Equestrians at Baum & Pferdgarten, the Scandi Spring Magic was Infectious.

All of fashionable Scandinavia was proudly showcased at Copenhagen’s SS 2026 fashion offering – from Denmark and Iceland to Norway, Sweden to Finland – and this characterful show of coordinated glam and beauty was simply unrivalled.

A whopping 35 shows, 9 representations, over 60 fashion events, umpteen creative hub installations, talks, and so much more, made up a very special edition of this globally beloved fashion event – boasting the biggest number of brands ever, amidst a somewhat struggling fashion industry. Impressive, to say the least.

Cecile Bahnsen, a meteoric talent amongst the many Scandi stars, hosted the very first guest slot in the history of Copenhagen Fashion Week with a show of ethereal, virginal pieces that simply made one shout for Spring joy. We were compelled to single out this brand as one of our top favourites.

All in all, the shows were a fabulous cocktail of fashion, art and music. Adaptive fashion, size inclusivity, a focus on slow fashion, craft and eco-friendly practices set the standard for all the season’s consecutive fashion weeks. And believe us, Copenhagen Fashion Week is a pretty darn hard act to follow – ‘pretty’ being the operative!

We’ve put together a little collection of our favourite brands. Stalwarts Nicklas Skovgaard and Baum & Pferdgarten wowed with inspiring collections, as did the ever-so-slightly slightly retro-inspired Rotate.

We leave you with a flavour of the extraordinary fashionistas spotted on the streets of Copenhagen during fashion week, each bringing to the table their own individualistic take on this season’s silhouettes, styles and shades.

Sit back, enjoy and take inspiration from all the delicious, grungy, glam and authentic fashion AS SEEN on both the runway and the sidewalk.

Coined the Copenhagen ‘Homecoming Queen’, celebrated local talent Cecilie Bahnsen retuned to Copenhagen Fashion Week after a three year absence, showcasing her dreamy silhouettes and unmistakably ethereal, voluminous, cloud-like shapes.

Every virginal piece boasted some Cecilie Bahnsen magic – from the frothy fabric to the bows – large and small, the ballet flats, sneakers, natural hairstyles and barely-there makeup looks.

This time she celebrated her 10 year in fashion with an outdoor show. Speaking to Vogue Scandinavia, she said, “I really miss being able to do the outdoor shows and the whole relaxed feeling and people arriving on their bikes in the dresses – the show isn’t just on the catwalk, it’s everyone being there. It just has a relaxed and easy vibe to it.”

This is Scandi vibes on steroids at a ‘birthday’ celebration like few others! This show with its ultra-voluminous, super girlie skirts and unapologetically feminine baby doll dresses stand out as one of the most memorable of the season.

NICKLAS SKOVGAARD

This maverick designer hosted a pyjama party for SS 2026, with guests literally viewing from beds as platforms (some beds were occupied by sleepers in pyjamas!), Nicklas Skovgaard said to Vogue Scandinavia, “Everyone wears clothes and everyone sleeps, I just saw a fun connection.”

The show was fun indeed, but also a seriously sexy extravaganza, with silhouettes as sculptural as they were avant-garde and sensual. Underwear looks with models sporting ‘come-to-bed’ eyes were dreamy and seductive. Duvet dresses looked cosy and colourful tulle petticoats bolstered the ‘pyjama/barely dressed’ theme.

In this dreamscape pastels merged with black, and shapes and textures ranged from sporty (good sleep is a form of wellness too!) to frivolous and extravagant (who doesn’t enjoy a dream of a jolly good party?).

Says Nicklas Skovgaard, “Whether you sleep well or you sleep bad, it really affects the morning after. If I sleep really well, I have [more energy] to get dressed for the day; I feel like I can try something out in terms of what I’m putting on.”

Sweet dreams then, everyone!

BAUM & PFERDGARTEN

Watch Baum & Pferdgarten’s show here

Modern-day equestrian-inspired pieces have never looked more covetable – fun, sporty and super elegant.

A day at the races inevitably springs to mind when musing over this derby-like offering from a design duo with “horse’ (‘Pferd’) in their name. In truth, models literally trotted into a working stable as runway. Guests were met by the aroma of hay, and even got the opportunity to get photographed with a set of dashing horses! How’s that for authenticity.

Pieces oozed with all things horsey: from realistic horses printed on silk scarves wrapped around waists to stripey jockey’s shorts, prize-winning rosettes and show ribbons, from leather riding boots to riding caps, every piece paid homage to an equestrian theme.

And the ultimate thread that wove everything together was Baum & Pferdgarten’s signature impeccable tailoring.

All suited and booted, let the races commence!

ROTATE

The ultimate boho brand, Rotate paid homage to the 1970s with their floaty, breezy frocks, sexy tiered skirts and ‘almost’ 80s shoulder-padded jackets.

The collection was a fine juxtaposition between romanticism and unapologetic sensuality. Above all, it was a feel-good extravaganza of all the pieces one would love to fantasize about for that ultimate Summer wardrobe.

Gilt-edged lingerie peeked out from under a sexy jacket worn with nothing but killer red stilettos, the perfect camel trench coat, hints of animal print in a pair of platform sandals, pretty pastels and uber-sexy chiffon-blouse necklines… these are indisputably the universal fashion vocabulary for that perfect Summer holiday.

Moreover, most of the pieces can be mixed and matched for an even more authentic and personalised look. And that’s part of the ingenuity of Rotate – all it takes is a bit of imagination to become your perfect, soft, ultra-feminine self.

STREET FASHION

Always as compelling as its runway sister, streetwear gives a glimpse into real fashionistas’ take on things. This time we’ve seen a few street trends that’s worth taking note of: polka dots and stripes were seen in many places, so were balloon trousers, flowing silhouettes, raincoats, flip flops and the colour sunshine yellow!

Bring on SS 2026 already!
