Brooklyn Beckham never wanted it to come to this.
The 26-year-old blasted his parents David and Victoria in a heated Instagram Stories statement on Monday, detailing exactly why he was forced to cut ties with them amid a years-long family feud. It was a shocking turn of events in this saga that no one saw coming — and one the aspiring chef tried to avoid! He even said it in his statement, claiming he wanted to keep the issues “private,” but his parents and their team weren’t making that easy as they “continued to go to the press.” Oof.

Speaking to People on Monday, a source close to the situation revealed Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz “never wanted any of this.” The insider explained:
“They just wanted to quietly live their lives and be married but after reading enough of the relentless inaccuracies about Nicola, a family member had had enough and wanted to set the record straight last year. And then the Beckhams had plenty of time to make amends and try and fix the damage and instead they continued to push these false narratives, and Brooklyn and Nicola are just sick of it. Brooklyn knows his truth and was ready to speak it.”
Wow.
According to his side of the feud, it really sounds like things could have been so different if David and Victoria had just respected Brooklyn’s boundaries. Maybe if they had met him where he wanted, it wouldn’t have come to this…
