Bowen Yang took part in his final sketch as a cast member on Saturday Night Live.
The 35-year-old actor got emotional in his last sketch on Saturday night (December 20), where he played a Delta One Lounge employee who was working his last shift.
Joining Bowen was host Ariana Grande and musical guest Cher, as well as longtime cast member Kenan Thompson.

“This is my last shift. It’s sad. I’m gonna miss everything about this place. The way it smells. The celebrities who come through. Just last week, Josh O’Connor came through,” Bowen said in the sketch, referring to the week prior’s host.
Ariana played a member of his family, saying over the phone, “I wish you were home but I’m so proud of you and all the eggnog you’ve made over the years. Some of it was great, some of it was rotten.”
“And a lot of it got cut,” he replied. “But you know, I also think eggnog’s kinda like me. It’s not for everyone, but the people who like it are my kinda people.”
Ariana‘s character then joined him and said, “I wouldn’t miss your last shift for the world. “I can’t believe you’re retiring.”
He responded, “I just wanted to go out on top,” to which she joked, “Oh, everyone knows you’re a bottom.”
“Oh, Rhonda, I should have come home earlier,” Bowen said while getting emotional. “I just feel so lucky that I ever got to work here. And I just wanted to enjoy it for a little bit longer. Especially the people. I’ve loved every single person who works here. Because they’ve done so much for me, especially my boss.”
Cher then walks out as his boss.
“Ma’am, I just wanted to say it’s been an honor working for you, and any success I have after this will be thanks to this place. Before I go, do you have any feedback for me?” he says to her, in a message pointed to SNL boss Lorne Michaels.
“Well, everyone thought you were a little bit too gay. But you know what? You’re perfect for me,” Cher said.
