The Backstreet Boys are proving their legacy is stronger than ever with a blockbuster residency at the Las VegasSphere, bringing their biggest hits, jaw-dropping visuals, and three decades of pop dominance to Sin City. Kevin Richardson, AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, and Nick Carter kicked off the highly anticipated run on July 11, coinciding with the release of “Millennium 2.0,” a special reissue celebrating the 25th anniversary of their iconic 1999 album. Fans have been packing the futuristic venue to relive the nostalgia of “I Want It That Way” and “Larger Than Life,” and the demand has been so high that the Backstreet Boys have already added more shows for late 2025 and early 2026.

Backstreet Boys Pull In $4 Million Per Night At Las Vegas Sphere Residency

According to a Thursday, August 28, report from TMZ, the residency isn’t just a fan favorite. It’s a massive payday, with the Backstreet Boys reportedly grossing $4 million per night at the Sphere.

Residencies have long been a lucrative gig for artists, but the Backstreet Boys’ Sphere shows are breaking the mold. While traditional tours rack up massive expenses from travel, equipment transport, and city-to-city logistics, staying in one place allows the group to slash costs. That means more profit per performance, and the numbers don’t lie.

BSB did pay a hefty one-time fee of $7–8 million for the immersive graphics powering the Sphere’s mind-bending visuals, but that investment was quickly recouped thanks to platinum ticket sales and VIP packages that fans eagerly snatched up.

Richardson, McLean, Dorough, Littrell, and Carter kicked off the Sphere residency on July 11 with select summer dates in both July and August. The group will return to the venue for a special holiday run from December 26 through January 3, 2026, before launching another seven-show stretch in February 2026.

In a joint statement announcing the added dates, the band gushed over the fan response. “We are overwhelmed by the incredible outpouring of love and support over these past few weeks,” they said. “To our fans who have been with us for the past 30 years, and to all the new fans who’ve recently joined us, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

They added with a wink to one of their biggest hits, “You asked for more, and we can’t wait to deliver with more Sphere shows in 2026. Get those white outfits ready. This is going to be larger than life.”

The Backstreet Boys’ Sphere residency wasn’t just a victory lap. It perfectly coincided with the release of “Millennium 2.0,” a special edition re-release celebrating the 25th anniversary of their smash-hit 1999 album “Millennium.”

The updated collection featured 13 bonus tracks, including never-before-heard demos and live recordings from the era that cemented the group as global superstars.

Celebrating ‘Millennium’ With A Next-Level Comeback

Ahead of their Sphere debut, the band opened up to PEOPLE about what fans could expect. “When this opportunity came to us to do the Sphere, it just made sense,” Howie Dorough explained in February. “I mean, it’s a comeback on the next level. You can’t get any bigger than the Sphere.”

After experiencing massive success with their previous Las Vegas residency, the “Larger Than Life” singers had been eager to return. This time, though, the group set out to make it even more special.

“We’re bringing a rebirth to a record that we released years ago and taking our fans, some that have seen the show back in the days, or some that weren’t even probably born yet, and letting them experience it for the first time,” Dorough added.

Nick Carter Made Solo Comeback With ‘Love Life Tragedy’

While the Backstreet Boys continued to dominate the stage together at Sphere, one member also stepped into a big solo moment earlier this year. Nick Carter released his fourth solo studio album, “Love Life Tragedy,” on May 15, marking his first solo project in a decade.

The record, which blended pop and rock influences, showcased Carter’s most vulnerable work to date. Fans were treated to everything from catchy tracks like “Easy” to emotional ballads such as “Cold Night” and “Don’t Let Go.” Carter described the album as a journey through love, heartbreak, and resilience, noting, “This album is not only about love, life, and tragedy, but also the beauty that can come from it all.”
