Baby do Brasil is not performing a concert tonight — she is performing a confession. “Meu Projeto Blue” was built specifically for the Blue Note format: the intimate room, the proximity between stage and audience, the expectation that a show in this space will reveal something that arenas cannot contain. And Baby has more to reveal than most. She was the voice of the Novos Baianos — the group that, alongside Tropicália, redefined what Brazilian popular music could be in the 1970s. She sang on “Acabou Chorare,” one of the greatest Brazilian albums ever recorded. She married and divorced Pepeu Gomes. She reinvented herself as a solo artist with hits that defined the 1980s. She found evangelical Christianity and brought gospel energy into her live performances. Through all of it, the voice remained: enormous, untamed, capable of shifting from a whisper to a shout within a single phrase. Tonight’s format strips all of that back to the essentials — new interpretations, unfamiliar repertoire, the creative freedom that a room above the Conjunto Nacional can offer. Two sessions: 8 pm and 10:30 pm.

NAVE is the Saturday flagship — the night that has defined D-Edge since 2003, the label that turns the Barra Funda club into São Paulo’s electronic centre of gravity every weekend. Saturday NAVE is the biggest electronic night of the week: both pistas run, the rooftop terrace opens for the sunrise crowd, and the lineup is the deepest of the weekly rotation. The LED-panel walls designed by Muti Randolph throb with light, the sound system pushes through the room with the clarity and force that has made D-Edge a global reference. 3Ó do Borogodó — Peak Saturday

Saturday is the Borogodó’s strongest night — the night the samba house in Pinheiros has been known for since 2001, the night when the room on Rua Horácio Lane fills completely and the roda reaches its weekly peak. The energy is more concentrated than Friday: the crowd has been moving through Pinheiros all day, the dinner spots on Mourato Coelho and Aspicuelta have been feeding the pipeline, and by 11 pm the Borogodó is packed and loud and impossible to resist. Saturday is also the feijoada night — if you arrive early enough, the kitchen serves the full spread. The samba runs from 10 pm to 3 am — five hours of partido-alto, choro and roots samba from musicians who have been playing this room for years. Arrive before 10:30 for a table. After that, you stand, and you dance.

4Casa de Francisca — Saturday Programme

Saturday at the Casa is when all three stages of the Palacete Teresa run simultaneously and the building on Rua Quintino Bocaiúva transforms into the multi-layered musical organism it was designed to be. The Salão — the main room, 150 seats, where Rubens Amatto’s curadoria places the night’s centrepiece act — opens at 8 pm with a show that typically runs to 1 am. The Porão — standing-room, underground, louder and more physical — runs its own programme. The Largo — the free outdoor terrace that opens onto the street — runs from noon on Saturdays with DJs and the calçadão bar. The Casa has averaged 600 shows a year since expanding to four stages and remains one of São Paulo’s most significant music venues — APCA award 2018, Folha de São Paulo “Best Programming” 2025.

5Bar Brahma Centro — Saturday Samba

Bar Brahma has been holding its corner at the intersection of São João and Ipiranga since 1948, and on Saturday nights it runs the same way it has for decades: live samba on the stage, caipirinhas and chopp on the tables, the art deco interior lit up and the crowd flowing between the main room and the pavement tables on Av. São João. Saturday at Brahma is a no-surprise proposition — which is exactly the appeal. No booking required, no tickets, no lineup reveal. You walk in, you sit, you drink, you listen. The samba plays. The centre of São Paulo does its thing. For first-time visitors, Brahma is the easiest entry point into the SP live-samba circuit: open daily, walk-in friendly, and the samba is always playing.
